Mandate:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19, 20 (NKJV).
Purpose:
To mobilise Adventurers, Pathfinders, Master Guides and trainees to share “the Advent message to all the world in this generation.”
Vision:
To see children and youth continually grow in Christ and be trained to share their faith effectively.
Overview:
The year 2020 is a great opportunity for Adventurer families, Pathfinders, Master Guides (MGs) and Master Guide Trainees (MGTs) to shine for Jesus and be (more) actively involved in community outreach and evangelism. Different types of evangelistic approaches will be employed by AMP clubs such as small group ministry, internet and friendship evangelism, compassion initiatives, Mission Adventures (mission trips), cross‐culture outreach programs, and other creative ministries – and these will be conducted in conjunction with the
evangelistic plans of local churches and in support of the general goals of the Ontario Conference for church growth and evangelism.
“We have an army of youth who can do much if they are properly directed and
encouraged…We want them to be blessed of God. We want them to act a part in well organized plans for helping other youth.” ~ GC Bulletin Jan. 29 & 30, 1893
Goals:
1. To train and equip at least 100 AMP speakers/preachers and 100 small group facilitators by March 2020.
2. To conduct at least 50 evangelistic initiatives/creative ministries across Ontario in 2020.
3. To baptize at least 100 precious souls by December 2020 as a result of all the AMP Evangelism initiative.
4. To help integrate 100 new members into the life and ministry of the church through discipleship ministry.
